Welcome and thank you for visiting The London Christadelphians online. Our website highlights the  various activites we engage in with a strong emphasis upon the importance of personal bible study. Please feel free to read more about our activites on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to meet you and share with you our love for God, His Word of Truth and our Hope for Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

The Christadelphians

Or, as the name implies, the brethren in Christ (Hebrews 2:11), are a body of people associated together by a belief in the gospel or the good news of the kingdom of God, that Jesus Christ taught and lived when he walked the earth almost 2000 years ago.

 

They do not profess to have received any new revelation, but hold that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are able to make an individual wise unto salvation (2 Timothy 3:15-17). They believe in the Divine Authorship of the Bible, they think it only reasonable to dismiss any interpretation  which fails to harmonize with the teaching of the whole of the Bible.

 

By using the Bible as an authority rather than Church teaching and tradition, Christadelphians profess a faith lost by other churches. They believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth, to set up the kingdom of God and reign worldwide as king from Jerusalem.

 

In a Christadelphian meeting you won't be emotionally pushed into conversion; Christadelphians put much more emphasis on reasoning from the Bible and a faith based on proven facts.

 

 

 

 

What We Believe

 

  • There is only one true God. He dwells in heaven, immortal and invisible and all powerful.   (Isaiah 45:5-6 ; 1 Timothy 6:15-16)

  • God created the entire universe and has a great purpose for the world.(Genesis 1 ; Numbers 14:21)

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God given by Him to benefit mankind.(2 Timothy 3:16 ; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • The Holy Spirit is the power of God which He uses to fulfil His purpose.(Job 33:4 ; Romans 8:11)

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God - a divine being, and of Mary - a human being.(Luke 1:35 ; Romans 1:3-4)

  • Jesus overcame all temptation and died to save his followers from sin and death.(Romans 10:9-13 ; 1 Timothy 1:15-16)

  • Jesus was raised from death by God. Later he ascended into heaven but he will return to be King.(Acts 2:22-27 ; Acts 1:11)

  • When Jesus returns to the earth he will raise and judge the responsible dead and give eternal life to all faithful.(Daniel 12:1-2 ; John 5:28-29)

  • He will be King over the restored Kingdom of God in Israel and over the whole world.(Isaiah 9:6-7 ; Zechariah 14:9)

  • The devil is not a supernatural being but is another name for sin, destroyed only in Christ.(Matthew 15:19-20 ; Hebrews 2:14-15)

  • When we die we cease to exist. The only hope of life is by resurrection at Christ's return.(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 ; Romans 5:21)

  • Repentance and baptism into Christ by full immersion in water and daily following Him, are necessary for ultimate salvation.(Mark 16:15-16 ; Romans 6:4)
